I love Springtime and welcoming tons of white into my wardrobe. There is just something so chic and clean about dressing in this color. I have been on the look out for a white blazer- It will be such a great piece to wear with dresses and also with jeans. I love blazers because you instantly feel put together when you put one on.

Bunny Time

Easter was the perfect occasion to have my vintage rabbit fur coat make its debut. I think it was too funny and quite appropriate, no? We celebrated outside in the city, so my Spring dress needed some layering for the chilly weather. Skinny jeans can be a great layer for warmth and can dress down your outfit. The holiday was lots of fun, filled with family time and sweet treats.

Optical Illusion

I love when Couture is worn on the red carpet, it is so gorgeous and should have as many appearances as possible. Miriam Yeung was lucky enough to wear this Jean Paul Gaultier gown for the Hong Kong Film Festival. The cut layers of chiffon mixed with the beautiful blending of colors makes this dress so amazing.

I have so much fun seeing what Anna Dello Russo the editor of Vogue Japan wears, especially during different Fashion weeks. She is so adventurous and definitely not afraid of color! I love how she has so much fun with fashion and her amazing accessories. I cannot even imagine what her closet looks like!

I recently picked up this blouse at Dina Louise in San Francisco. What a great little gem of a store with amazing vintage picks. I couldn't resist the bow tied collar and fun print of this blouse. It is one of those pieces that will magically go with everything.

Delish

I never knew I liked dates until I tried this new recipe- A Ball of Bliss. These were divine and a hit, especially with my sister and niece who are vegan. I got this no bake recipe from Lisa With Style and Grace. She makes super delicious healthy recipes- Check them out!

My only modification:

I would put the mixture into a food processor. In the blender it got too warm for me and I had to refrigerate the mixture before I could form the balls.

Enjoy! They are quite delicious!

This Anton Heunis necklace I picked up recently is such an amazing piece. I instantly fell in love with the modern yet vintage look, it has such a neat & intricate design. I love good jewelry that makes a statement and is a piece of art, as it should be.

Tonight I am going to see the amazing Animal Collective in concert. I absolutely love going to live shows- such fun energy and there is nothing like it.

Some of my tips for concert attire-

The most important thing is your choice in shoes- I always wear boots or sneakers. Comfort is key and you need to be able to dance of course!

Keep accessories to a minimum, they just plain get in the way. This is about the only time I limit my jewelry:)

You can never go wrong with jeans and a tee shirt- Classic and cool.

The Importance of a Belt

Belts are the most under appreciated and overlooked accessory. They are such a fun item that can add so much to an outfit through function and style. A nice leather belt can also help you from pulling up your skinny jeans all day long- very important!

Shopping for belts: Always look for quality, a fine one will last a long time and never go out of style. Belts are one of my favorite items to find at thrift stores- you can usually find a high quality leather or snakeskin belt for $2 or less.

Here is my outfit without a belt, see how it looks like something is missing? A belt adds a cohesive element to an outfit and finishes off your look.
